Teresa Polo - April 2019
Our spotlight for April is on the wonderful Teresa Polo, mother of a 3rd and 4th grader here at Oak Creek. Before Teresa became a full time mom she was a sales person for a technology integration company for 28 years. Recently, Teresa was in charge of assembly all of the t-shirts and coupon packets for the jog-a-thon. Things went so smoothly this year thanks to her attention to detail and hard work!
We asked her the following questions:
What made you decide to volunteer for the PTA? Now that I am no longer working, I have more time to put towards volunteering. I believe it’s important to serve others and be a part of the bigger picture.
What have you enjoyed about volunteering? I have really enjoyed getting to know other parents from our school. I feel a greater sense of belonging now that I volunteer. I also enjoy being with a group of people who share a common goal, work together to accomplish it, and laughing and getting to know one another along the way. It’s been great and I’m so glad to be a part of it!
We are glad Teresa, along with our other volunteers, are a part of our PTA!
